Art is my passion...color, contrast, realism, recording the beauty of life that surround us every day.

Color and realism... my typical pallet is armed with several shades of bright colors. I want to entertain the viewer and give them a reason to keep looking. Style and technique may vary slightly with my moods and intentions, while still keeping a familiarity to my work.
Portraits are one of my favorite subjects.

At the age of 13, I took an art class, with the guidance of
Sr. Gertrude I continued to what would later be my passion. Now a wife and mother of 3 grown children I am “living the dream”. After earning a degree in graphic design in 1976, I worked full time from 1976 - 1994 as an artist and designer. Since 1994, I have focused strictly on fine art with a concentration in murals both commercial and residential and portraits in oil. Subject, style, technique and painting mediums adapt to each situation, which always keeps the creative process fresh and flexible.

Commissioned work is completed on location or in the studio, smaller paintings are displayed at one-man/group exhibits, public and competitive shows. Mediums used include oil, acrylic, watercolor, bueno fresco and graphite.

Studying regularily with internationally renowned classical painters, has not only polished my skills but also challenged me to push forward and grow, as I continue my quest for excellence in my art.
